I offer a unique and highly specialised form of character comedy entertainment in the vein of Barry Humphries and Campbell McComas. I find out everything I can about your hosts/company and the key guests in attendance and tailor my material to be all about YOU
— Marney

Marney McQueen and her characters have performed at a huge variety of events including fundraisers, concerts, birthday parties, corporate events, Christmas Parties, weddings and bah-mitzvahs. She is also a highly engaging public speaker, enlightening people with showbiz stories, her connection with Barry Humphries and showcasing her comedic characters.

With precision timing — which carries an extra degree of difficulty with improv — McQueen masterfully struts that fine, vaudevillian line: She’s rude without being vulgar, naughty without being dirty.

Marney is a meticulous researcher, and will meet with you to find out as much dirt as possible about your company/key people/the birthday person/the happy couple … she then works with her co-writer to create a comedy performance to incorporate all that information. Guests are continually blown away that the entire performance is actually about THEM! She works with you to make sure the entertainment at your event is going to be perfect, and she liases with the venue to ensure everything is going to run smoothly. Every performance is completely different, depending on who is in the audience!

Marney appears regularly as an emcee.

Most recently she appeared as emcee at her old School’s 125th year anniversary at the Melbourne Town Hall.

Rosa also made an appearance at this event, showing the parents the results of spending all their hard earned dollars on their daughters’ education!

Recently Marney performed at a fundraising event for the Hamilton Hospital in western Victoria.

With help from the organising committee, Marney researched the 200 guests, and created a comedy show for her characters to perform at this event. Prior to the night she studied photographs of the guests, and a detailed seating plan, and on the night she was able to ‘spontaneously’ single out select individuals and incorporate them into the show.

Rosa as the surprise entertainment at a 40th birthday party, she had never met the birthday girl before … and yet she knew everything about her!

Rosa brought the house down, all the guests are still talking about her performance!
