Marney’s new show for the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2012: Rump Steak at a Vegan BBQ
Marney McQueen is starring in a brand new show for the Melbourne Comedy Festival in April 2012. Titled “Rump Steak at A Vegan BBQ” this show is about Marney’s time as a single gal in the hit musicals Hairspray and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
In this fresh and hilarious cabaret, the ever-surprising triple threat Marney McQueen spills the dirt from behind the theatrical curtain. As a leading lady in the two big gay musicals Hairspray and Priscilla, this gorgeous single girl felt like a juicy rump steak at a vegan BBQ.
Trading men and mating for sequins and showboys, here is the musical story of a globe-trotting starlet who found no Sex in the Cities. Not a sausage. Hot-on-the-heels of sell-out character cabaret shows in Melbourne, Sydney, London, Edinburgh and New York, Marney presents her first-ever Australian cabaret show as herself.
With a three piece band and hilarious songs written by Marney McQueen and Tim Bain, and a special guest appearance from waxer to the stars, Rosa the Russian Beautician.

“Marney McQueen is a true chameleon entertainer. She is also hilariously funny”Jacki Weaver
